Sown in dry
Riso Goio 1929 is the first and only PDO rice to be grown on dry paddy (not with traditional sowing in water with flooded paddy) with the technique of sowing in rows buried, Over the years we have adapted this modern technique for modern dry varieties to an old rice not born for this type of sowing, as well as saving at least 2 or 3 months of water in the paddy fields and the less use of chemicals, By studying their behaviour during the various campaigns, we found that our
S. Andrea DOP and the soil itself benefited from this technique, noting that the soil improved its composition, the plant grew much healthier and more oxygenated, formed longer roots and resistant, as a result it grew more robust and the grains themselves remained more compact with ever higher yields at processing, also increasing the holding in cooking, the fact that it was sown in rows and not in muddy sludge also gave a more intense aroma and a more natural taste to rice, making it especially healthier, all this helped us to improve the quality of our rice making it unique and inimitable.
